EVIDENCE-BASED, PERFORMANCE-LED SINGING TRAINING
Charlie-Jade is Head of Singing at LAMDA and a vocal pedagogue specialising in performance-led vocal training. Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music (PGDip, LRAM), she has built a career spanning performance and education, with teaching experience across leading conservatoires and drama schools including Arts Educational Schools, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Laine Theatre Arts, and Emil Dale Academy. She has also served as an external assessor for Arts Educational Schools.
Through her private studio, Charlie-Jade works with professional performers using an approach that considers the whole artist, not just the voice. Drawing on physiology, psychology, and contemporary vocal pedagogy, she tailors her teaching to each individual, helping performers develop technical freedom, artistic confidence, and sustainable vocal habits.
Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by an MSc in Performance Science from the Royal College of Music, a Licentiate in Singing Teaching from the Royal Academy of Music, and specialist training in anatomy, physiology, and psychological coaching. Her research has explored the relationship between mental health, voice disorders, and performer wellbeing, and she is currently a PhD candidate in Performance Science.
Passionate about bridging artistic instinct with scientific understanding, Charlie-Jade combines rigorous technical knowledge with a deep appreciation of communication, storytelling, and performance. She regularly collaborates with specialist clinicians and undertakes observations within a leading NHS voice clinic to remain at the forefront of vocal health and support in voice rehabilitation.
She is an Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine, a member of the British Voice Association, and part of the Healthy Conservatoires Network.
“Charlie-Jade Jones is an excellent singing teacher and I would have no hesitation in recommending her. Charlie-Jade is an accomplished singer in her own right and is constantly refining her craft. She is passionate about sharing her depth of knowledge and helping her students to discover their full potential.”

“I’ve had a few lessons with Charlie-Jade now, working on technique and audition material. I’m loving working with her, and enjoying learning new things about my voice. Her knowledge of the voice and the instrument as a whole is amazing, and I leave every lesson learning something new. I love having lessons with Charlie, and know that I’m always getting my moneys worth. The environment she creates is very supportive and comfortable, which to me is so important when having a lesson. There is nothing worse than turning up and feeling intimated or nervous, which I have experienced with other teachers in the past. I’ll continue to have regular lessons with Charlie to keep improving and gaining more confidence. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new teacher.”

"From my very first lesson with Charlie-Jade in 2022, I knew I had found a singing teacher who genuinely cared about both my development as a singer and my individual needs. Confidence has always been something I’ve struggled with, but Charlie creates such a calm and supportive environment that I feel comfortable stepping outside my comfort zone and learning from my mistakes. She has taught me a wide range of vocal techniques and how to apply them across different genres. Charlie will always be my go-to teacher, and I’m excited to continue learning and growing in the years ahead. As much as I’d love to keep her to myself, I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their voice, build confidence, and learn from a truly supportive and talented teacher."

“Charlie-Jade Jones is supportive, cooperative, kind and honest in her approach. She was a true game-changer when I changed singing teachers and even helped me reach the finals of a thrilling West End show! Charlie will elevate your vocal skills and continuously motivate you to achieve your desired level.”

"Working with Charlie-Jade has been amazing. I've always been confident in my Pop/Rock sound, but she's helped me develop a much stronger vocal technique while also giving me the confidence to experiment with vocal styles I would usually stay away from. Her lessons are so supportive and built around what I need which has made a huge difference in my progress. I feel more confident in my voice and much more versatile as a singer."

“I had previously worked with Charlie-Jade in a show and sought her help after I came out of a rock heavy musical theatre contract and was feeling rather blocked in my versatility and range, along with having natural voice changes. I was at an unsteady place with my voice and Charlie helped me start on the right path in rediscovering and eventually freeing up my voice and range in different styles. Always positive and knowledgable, Charlie was able to identify my blocks very quickly and helped me understand my voice and gain confidence back.”
